Days of our Lives fans may not recognize little Thomas DiMera, because the character has been recast. Soaps reports that Cary Christopher has taken over the role of Chad (Billy Flynn) and Abigail's (Kate Mansi) son.
Christopher is just four years old, but he's already built quite an impressive résumé. He has appeared in shows like 9-1-1, Fuller House, and the VUDU original series Mr. Mom. He also has a role in the upcoming David Fincher film Mank, which tells the story of the making of Citizen Kane and stars soap opera alums Tom Pelphrey (ex-Jonathan Randall, Guiding Light; ex-Mick Dante, As the World Turns) and Amanda Seyfried (ex-Joni Mitchell, All My Children; ex-Lucy Montgomery, ATWT).
Back in October, Christopher's talent agency, Zuri Talent, teased that their client had joined an NBC series, but the agency was unable to reveal more details at the time.
"Cary Christopher has booked ANOTHER recurring role -- this time on a confidential NBC show!" Zuri Talent wrote. "At just four years old, he has an impressive resume! Huge congrats, Cary! We are excited to [be] part of your journey!"

Christopher replaces Asher Morrissette, who played Thomas from May 2018 to December 2019.
At this time, it isn't certain how long Christopher will be staying in Salem. As Soap Central previously reported, Thomas' mother Abigail (Kate Mansi) has exited DAYS, and the status of his father Chad (Billy Flynn) remains unclear.
